Situation
When Office Depot introduced new, state-of-the-art distribution centers
and cross-docks to their existing supply chain network, a logistics
technology solution was needed to support their retail store needs.
Solution
This particular solution combined a number of myLogistics' products
into
an integrated solution made visible through myLogistics Online. The
comprehensive solution ranges from scanning inbound materials all the
way through to the completion of the multi-stop routes and summarized
with online reporting and a data warehouse.

is optimized for outbound shipment while adhering to
pre-determined rules and restrictions: two(2)-hour window times
at the store, trailer capacity, rush hour factors, and resource
constraints..
- Completed routes are communicated to the WMS for pick-list generation and
lane
assignments. The fleet is also
dispatched accordingly.
- The shipments are posted to the web for online visibility. Office Depot
stores, operations and HQ are able to monitor the routes in real-time through the day as the
fleet delivers the freight.
- Activity and events are captured in a data warehouse for online reporting.
On-time performance, delivery exceptions and delay/detention are just a
few of the measureables.
